The Tanglin Halt print by Lee Xin Li features one of the five districts within Queenstown that were initially drawn up due to the surge of population after World War II to tackle the housing shortage issue. Tanglin Halt derived its name from Tanglin Road and the Malayan Railway which had a stop (thus the word “halt”) located near the junction of Tanglin Halt Road and Tanglin Halt Close.
