The Meyer Road print by Lee Xin Li features Meyer Road, named after Sir Reuben Manasseh Meyer, a Jewish businessman who built the Chesed-El Synagogue. The road stretches from Tanjong Rhu Road to Tanjong Katong Road and used to run along the coast until the land reclamations of the East Coast in the 1970s.

The illustration highlights the former Crescent Flats, built in 1909 and Meyer Flats, built in 1928. The two beach-front apartments were demolished sometime after 1993 and were redeveloped into the present-day Makena condominium. In the background is the old Sea View Hotel. A hotel of the same name opened around Amber Close from 1969 – 2003.
